Community News
What an amazing day we had at the Pre-Loved Market last Saturday. The Lord has truly blessed us with such a very successful day. We give Him thanks for this blessing. The day started out with a light shower, but then turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day. Once we finished setting up various stalls and the market was opened, we had a constant stream of people coming through that was overwhelming. It was none stop.
The hall was packed with buyers, and at time made it hard to move around. Even our food (African, Tongan, Asian, fruit, baked good, and Tea and coffee) and plant stalls were busy with buyers. The food from our stalls was delicious. All day the Market was just buzzing with excitement and joy. I think our volunteers had the most fun. It was just a fantastic community day.
Here is some feedback from people:
The funds raised from the Market will be for:
I would like to thank all our youth and volunteers who have helped with the Pre-Loved Market. We had about 72 volunteers who helped us (in various ways) throughout the month of the market. On the day of the Market we had about 40 people volunteered. These numbers are amazing, as it showed that the Parish Community came together and was very supportive of this cause. Thank you!
Thank you also to all who have generously donated their pre-loved things & supported this event. A big and special thanks to the Awaken team for an unbelievable project that is bearing so much fruit.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Our programme for the Sacrament of Confirmation will begin on Wednesday 13th July 2022. Enrolment for this sacrament will begin in early June.
